Please help Young Playwrights’ Theater continue to deliver its award-winning curriculum to students throughout the Greater Washington area. Your donation will help provide tickets and transportation for our young emerging playwrights to see professional theater productions, offset expenses for play productions, and provide stipends for the theater professionals - directors, dramaturges, actors, and playwrights - who teach our students and take their words from the page to the stage. You can even set up your credit card to make a monthly deposit to YPT. It only takes a few minutes and you will be doing something wonderful for D.C. students thorughout the year, without ever having to write a check!
What kind of gift will you give to our young playwrights? Let the giving levels below help you decide:
Courage - $50
Provides tickets for two students to see a professional theater performance as part of the In-School Playwriting Program. Donors at this level will receive a letter of thanks and two tickets to the annual Express Tour Showcase.
Imagination - $100
Sponsors a professional actor for one day in the classroom. This level receives all of the above, plus a YPT baseball cap.
Creativity - $250
Supports one professional playwrights’ workshop in the classroom. This level receives all of the above, plus a signed copy of one student-written play.
Insight - $500
Underwrites one New Writers Now! performance. This level receives all of the above, plus a chance to meet and talk with our participating students after the reading of their work.
Inspiration - $1,000
Provides six In-School Playwriting workshops to D.C. Public School students. Donors at this level receive all of the above, plus a visit to a classroom to see the YPT In-School Playwriting Program in action and meet some of our young playwrights.
